Dedicated to Ruth Y. Rector (1921-1999)

My mother, Ruth Rector, spent a good portion of her life

researching, collecting data, and writing genealogy for the

Rector, Yingling, Adcock, Clark, Shelby, Hilger, and many

other families who settled in and were involved in the settling of

the state of Arkansas. I am in the process of taking her writings

and putting them up on this site on the WWW in order to assist

anyone and everyone who her writings can help in their searches

for information about their family backgrounds. Please be patient.

This involves an enormous amount of material – hundreds of pages of

documents and literally thousands of photos.
